Belmare Senior Living in Oakdale hosted a festive Halloween gathering for local youngsters on Friday evening, Oct. 30. Kids could stop by the complex on West F Street in Oakdale and enjoy getting candy while visiting with residents there. Many of the Belmare residents dressed up for the occasion and greeted trick or treaters ranging from princesses to video game characters. Staff members also got into the spirit, assisting at some of the candy stations. Organizers also served up hot dogs for the kids and estimated that over 300 trick-or-treaters attended. This was the fourth year that Belmare has put on the event.
