Sign up now for a free, fun, in person class to learn gardening basics, offered through University of California Master Gardener Program. The Fall Vegetable Gardening Class is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 31 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Stanislaus County Ag Center, Harvest Hall Rooms D and E, 3800 Cornucopia Way, Modesto. Registered participants will receive free seed packets to get their vegetable gardens started.

Learn which vegetables you can grow for your fall garden in the ground and containers, and how to care for your growing plants. A handout will be provided so those attending the class can follow along with the instructors.

Leading the class will be Rho Yare and Ted Hawkins.
