OHS Science Olympiad Team Advances

The Stanislaus County Regional Science Olympiad was hosted Saturday, March 3 at the MJC West Campus.

Oakdale High School was named one of four overall winners for Division C (High School) from Stanislaus County. The Oakdale Gold team took several individual event honors as well.

The Gold team took first place overall honors in Astronomy and Towers, with second place finishes in Forensics, Game On, and Herpetology. Third place showings were in Experimental Design and Mousetrap Vehicle, with fourth place honors in Microbe Mission and Mission Possible. The Gold team took fifth in Optics, Rocks and Minerals and Write It/Do It.

The top four winners will now advance to the Northern California (NorCal) Science Olympiad. The event this year is scheduled for Saturday, April 14, at CSU Stanislaus.
