OHS Homecoming Next Week

Oakdale High School is gearing up for Homecoming Week, which runs Oct. 5 through 9, wrapping up with the varsity football game on Friday, Oct. 9 where the Mustangs will face the Ceres High School Bulldogs. Varsity kickoff is scheduled for roughly 7 p.m., following the junior varsity game, which is scheduled for a 5 p.m. kickoff at The Corral.

This year’s Homecoming theme is “Mustangs, What’s Your Sign?”

Seniors are Squares (Nerds), Juniors are Peace signs (Hippies), Sophomores are Masquerade Mask (Mardi Gras) and Freshmen are the Superman symbol (Superheroes).

The high school will hold various lunchtime activities throughout Homecoming Week.

Homecoming dress days are as follows: Monday is Cowboys and Indians Day, Tuesday is Neon Day, Wednesday is Number Day, Thursday is Theme Day, Friday is Spirit Day.

Of special note, there will not be a Homecoming parade this year through downtown Oakdale.

The festivities will include selection of Homecoming Royalty, with a King and Queen, Prince and Princess crowned.
