Magnolia Elementary’s fourth grade students recently hosted their inaugural California Native American Museum. The museum displays were student made replicas of artifacts as part of their social studies unit on California’s Native American tribes.

Along with each museum piece each student prepared and presented a Google Slides report on their assigned tribe. Students from all other grade levels were invited to tour the classroom museums and learn from the fourth grade regional tribal experts.

Fourth grade teacher, Rachelle Savage, expressed her satisfaction with the first annual event, “The students really enjoyed their hands-on learning and absolutely loved sharing their newfound knowledge about California’s Native Americans.”
