Library Kicks Off Summer Reading
oakdale library

The Summer Reading Program at the  Oakdale Library is officially underway; kicked off on May 22, and it will continue all through June and July. All are welcome to stop by the library and join in the fun activities, prize drawings, entertaining programs, and read what you enjoy to celebrate the theme of “Reading Takes you Everywhere!” There are prizes for every age level.

Two special events will get the summer started out on the right foot. Designed especially for teens, it’s a Harry Potter escape room adventure. Solve puzzles, find hidden clues, work together, and keep your wits about you. The challenge begins at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29. Advance registration is required. Sign up at the desk or call the Oakdale Library at 209-847-4204.

The second event is a Harry Potter Party on Thursday, May 31, at 3 p.m. Help the library celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts, with Harry Potter-themed crafts. Children of all ages will enjoy the activities.
