Oakdale High School won the Stanislaus County Academic Decathlon championship on Feb. 1, following two days of testing, speeches, and interviews.
Racking up more medals, trophies, and points than the competition, 2014 represents the OHS team’s 14th consecutive win.
With a 30-member team, nine of which were the core competing team, OHS collected over 90 medals, as well as various individual and team trophies at the event where the theme centered on World War I.
OHS will represent Stanislaus County at the statewide competition March 20-23 in Sacramento.
See the Feb. 5 issue of The Leader for more information about the countywide contest.
