Display Of Artwork In Oakdale Council Chambers

Valley Art Association, with members from throughout the area including Oakdale, Riverbank and Escalon, is putting paintings and other art into the Oakdale City Council Chambers. The VAA is in its 51st year of promoting visual art in the community.

Recently the non-profit organization has started displaying artwork by members on a two-month rotation in the Council Chambers at 277 N. Second Ave., Oakdale. On display are works of photography, mixed media, pencil and ink, watercolor, and oil and acrylic paintings and more. This art can be viewed during regular City Council meetings on the first and third Mondays at 7 p.m.

Visitors are welcome to attend Valley Art Association’s meetings on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Gladys Lemmons Senior Center, 450 E. A St., Oakdale with the next meeting on Oct. 9. For further information, email ValleyArtAssociation@gmail.com.
