Oakdale Police Sergeant Benjamin Savage is this year’s recipient of the MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Award. Sergeant Savage was honored recently at the MADD Law Enforcement Recognition Luncheon at the California Agricultural Museum in Woodland. He and other officers from throughout the state were recognized for their efforts to stop the crime of Driving Under the Influence.
Savage received an award and a “23152” pin for his outstanding DUI enforcement efforts, which included 34 DUI arrests during 2016. The “23152” recognizes the penal code section for DUI.
Savage and Oakdale Police Chief Scott Heller both attended the luncheon.
