Police responded to a family disturbance in the 600 block of South Sierra Avenue on Thursday night, May 8 and found a man had been stabbed in the abdominal area. A 16-year-old juvenile was subsequently arrested for the stabbing.
Police said they were called to the apartment complex around 8:30 p.m. that evening and found the man bleeding inside an apartment. The man suffered a punctured lung and a fractured rib and was transported him to a local hospital.
The arrested juvenile was the son of the man’s estranged girlfriend.
The 16-year-old was arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon and was booked at Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall.
