The Bianchi Community Center and the plaza outside it will be swarming with activity this weekend. The center is at 110 S. Second Ave., in the heart of downtown.

The annual Oakdale Cowboy Christmas Gift and Craft Show will kick off with vendor booths opening on Friday, Nov. 29 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Then, on Saturday, Nov. 30, the exhibitor booths will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and there will also be a visit from Cowboy Santa, who will meet with kids to hear their Christmas wishes; there will also be entertainment, food and plenty of Western-themed gift items to peruse.

Vendors are scheduled to include more than 50; they will be setting up shop with art, furniture, jewelry, apparel, and more.
