The heavy winds of Monday, Oct. 11 not only resulted in some power interruptions around the region, it also brought down this huge oak tree along North Street, at the Hippler home. According to information provided, the truck that was crushed underneath the tree belonged to the gardener, who was about to go on his lunch break but hadn’t yet sat in the truck when the tree came down. Workers spent about three days cutting away the tree and clearing it out of the street.
