A 26-year-old Turlock man was jailed on $200,000 bail in connection with a Tuesday night car crash in Oakdale.

Brant Savage is due for a court appearance on Monday, Aug. 10 after police said he was driving under the influence when his vehicle went off the roadway and overturned along North Yosemite Avenue about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4.

Fire and EMS personnel responding to the scene said the driver and three children were out of the vehicle upon their arrival, having been assisted by bystanders. A female in the car required medical assistance.

According to Oakdale Police, Savage was arrested and booked for three counts of child endangerment, driving under the influence, and driving on a suspended license.

Savage, according to police, was driving south on North Yosemite Avenue when he lost control and veered off the roadway. The vehicle hit a fence and rolled over. There were no serious injuries.
