The Oakdale City Council will vote to adopt the city’s 2011-2012 operating budget at its regular meeting on Monday, June 20.

Over the last three years the city has cut over $3.4 million from its general fund budget that has resulted in loss of personnel and services. Earlier this year, Former City Manager Steve Hallam asked department heads to cut 10 percent from their budgets to cover a $760,000 shortfall for the 2011-2012 fiscal year.

At the June 6 council meeting, the city voted to not lay off any of its public safety personnel that had earlier been proposed to be cut.

The meeting will start at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 277 N. Second Avenue.
