Young artist Peyton, 8, the granddaughter of Oakdale resident Cheryl Folla, took time to design an intricate piece of mosaic art on the sidewalk recently in the 2400 block of Naturewood Drive in Oakdale. The grandmother-granddaughter duo worked on the colorful mosaic together. Similar chalk art drawings, brightly painted windows, teddy bears, hearts and messages of hope can be found in multiple locations around the region, as families sheltering in place get creative and offer the walk or drive by pick-me-ups.
