The Association of Fundraising Professionals - Yosemite Chapter, will host a Central Valley Fundraisers Conference on Friday, Oct. 11 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for fundraising professionals, volunteers, board members and development staff. The event, which will be held at the Sutter Health Education Center in Modesto, will offer two tracks for both beginners and advanced fundraisers and provide the opportunity for networking and visiting industry exhibitors.

There is limited seating for the event which offers expert speakers from the community and those with national experience. A few session topics include “Small Shop Strategies for Success,” “Multi-Channel Fundraising: Tips and Tricks,” and “The Relationship Every Development Director Needs.” Breakfast and lunch is provided for the $149 fee for non-AFP members or $99 for AFP members.

“Every other year, our chapter provides an educational conference for area fundraising professionals. Because it is the mission of our chapter of AFP to educate and mentor the field, we make sure to deliver content that will fit the needs of a beginner or a veteran,” said Karen Williams, president of the Yosemite Chapter of AFP. “I personally always take away new ideas that I bring back and use to strengthen our organization. I also enjoy spending the day with others who are doing the same work and have similar challenges because we learn from each other as well.”
