The 35th Annual InFocus Photography Competition, Exhibition and Sale will open its doors on Thursday, March 10 and will remain open, Thursdays through Sundays, through March 19, 2022, from noon to 5 p.m. and for the final Sunday, March 20, noon to 3 p.m. at Angelo’s Hall in Columbia State Park.

This is a juried show. The three judges have narrowed down the field of 367 entries to the top 234 images and from those the space provides enough room to hang the top 183 images for viewing. The judges will come to Angelo’s Hall to see the “produced” images and choose their winners. Cash prizes and certificates will be awarded in each of the six categories along with Best in Show, Charles Moore Award and Sponsor Awards from The Blue Zone, Rick Emery D.D.S., Clarke Broadcasting and Chicken Ranch Casino.

On Sunday, March 6 at 5 p.m. there will be a virtual awards reception, (visit www.infocus-tca.org for the Zoom link) where the winners will be announced, and the judges will speak about the judging process and how they came to their decisions. Once the judging is complete, on the website, you will be able to view all the images submitted as well as all the images that were chosen to hang in the show.

All the images are available to purchase from day one and on March 19, Saturday there will be a sale day when all works will be discounted 25 percent.

InFocus has been a program of Tuolumne County Arts for 35 years and once again this year the entry fee from 80 participants includes a one-year membership to Tuolumne County Arts, which helps keep arts and artists connected in Tuolumne County.
