Melissa Coleen Crees and Brett Thomas Meador of Modesto have announced their plans to wed.

The couple made the announcement when traveling to Palm Springs to visit Brett’s grandparents last Easter with Brett’s 12-year-old daughter Ashleigh.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Randy and Kelly Crees. She graduated from Stanislaus State University with a BA degree in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Credential in Education and is currently working as a second grade teacher at Great Valley Academy in Modesto.

Her siblings are Michael, Steven, and Lindsey Crees.

The prospective groom is the son of Erin Bronson and the late Charles Meador. He is employed with American Medical Response.

They plan to marry in Placerville, California on Dec. 2, 2012 at Wedgewood Sequoia, a Victorian mansion. It will be a small ceremony with closest family and friends in attendance. Bridesmaids will consist of the bride’s sister, Lindsey Crees, and Brett's daughter, Ashleigh Meador.
