A girl, Brenna Mari Franca, was born December 7, 2009 to expectant parents Brad and Melissa Franca of Oakdale. The newborn weighed seven pounds, 14 ounces upon arrival at Kaiser Hospital in Modesto.

The mother is the former Melissa Wharff.

Welcoming the newcomer home was older brother Carter.

Julie and Bryan Minabe of Oakdale and Mark and Laura Wharff of Modesto are the maternal grandparents.

Reyn and Kathy Franca of Hughson are paternal grandparents.
