Richard and Margaret Clifford marked their 65th wedding anniversary on July 28, 2011. They celebrated the occasion on July 17 at their daughter’s home in Stockton.
The couple met in Sacramento, Richard was a friend of Margaret’s brother. They were married in Sacramento on July 28, 1946 where they made their first home and had three daughters. They relocated to Escalon in 1958 to fulfill their dream of owning a ranch and raising their family in the country.
Both are retired now and have since relocated to Oakdale. They enjoy spending time with their family and also with the many friends they have made over the years from Escalon and Oakdale.
They have three daughters, Karen Ulmer of Lodi, Linda Peterson of Stockton and Diann Boger of Modesto; three son-in-laws, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren with the sixth great-grandchild on the way.
