Tommy Lynn Haggard of Oakdale, California passed away on September 18, 2021 in Modesto, California. He was born in Lubbock, Texas to parents JC and Fern Haggard on December 28, 1949. Tom graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He lived in Texas and Iowa before settling in California.
Tom came to California to manage the poultry ranch on Warnerville Road for Louis Rich. He worked in agriculture the majority of his life. He retired from South San Joaquin Irrigation District in 2010.
His passion was breeding, selling and training horses. He enjoyed every aspect of the ranch life. Tom loved spending time with his family. He was a true cowboy and a true gentleman.
Tom is survived by his wife Sharon Haggard, his son Ken (Loni) Jones of Waterford, California; his daughter Jolene (Gene) Brave Rock of Lodi, California, son Nelson (Jennifer) Jones of Woodbridge, California. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kailey Jones, Aaron Jones, Cheyenne Bryant, Greggory Bryant, Colton Brave Rock, Jennelle Jones, Michael Jones, Abigail Jones and Justin Odom, as well as his great granddaughter Jordyn Odom. Tom also is survived by his brothers Thurmon Haggard and Dennis Haggard of Lubbock, Texas.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents JC and Fern Haggard, his brothers Kenneth Haggard and Ronnie Haggard.
