Rosemary June (Potthoff) Popp was born in Escalon, California. She grew up in Oakdale, California with her parents, Harry and Minnie Potthoff and three siblings. Throughout her life, Rosemary was a waitress, bartender, chef and counselor. She had a warrior spirit and would accomplish things that may have appeared impossible to others. She cared tremendously for others, was a good listener and touched many lives with her compassion and unconditional acceptance. In her free time, she enjoyed going to Black Oak and playing penny slots. She loved spending time with her family, children and grandchildren whom she cherished dearly. Her cheery smile, unconditional love and support and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her three children Robert (Jessica) Isaia, Rachael (Tommy) Edwards and Jennifer Bonzi (Donald Gullatt Jr); her eight grandchildren Donny and Cherish Lemos, Alyssa Isaia, Jullaney and Christian Donaldson, Riley, Carter and Grayson Bonzi-Gullatt; her two great-grandchildren Christian and Levi; and siblings Anna Christiansen, Karen (Loren) Valenzuela and Jim (Patricia) Potthoff.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Deegan’s Funeral Chapel located at 1441 San Joaquin St, Escalon, CA 95320. Reception to follow services.
