Richard O. Salazar, 82, of Modesto died Friday, March 4 at Garden City Health Care Center.

He was a native of San Jose. He lived in the Modesto-Oakdale area for over 53 years.

Mr. Salazar was a supervisor at Stanislaus Foods for 39 years.

He is survived by his children, Carol Olvera of Modesto, Richard Salazar, Jr. of Corcoran, Andy Salazar of Lodi, Michael Salazar of Sacramento, Christopher Salazar of Fontana, Gracie Ortega of Stockton; sister, Eva Armata of San Francisco; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

A rosary will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 14 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery. No visitation.
