John Emery Fauria, 57, passed away on June 30, 2023.

Born on July 22, 1965, the youngest of six children to Raymond and Vivian Fauria, John is survived by his wife of 33 years Lorraine, and two children Stephanie (Brandon) Neal and Domenic (Shauna). John attended St. Mary’s College majoring in history and later graduated from Stanislaus State with a teaching credential. His affection for sports, which he passed on to Stephanie and Domenic, flourished at St. Mary’s where he served as the voice of Gael’s men’s basketball team on the radio. John later went on to coach men’s basketball at Riverbank and Turlock high schools under Ron Peterson.

John went on to work alongside his father, Ray, at American Pallet ultimately serving as the company’s vice-president for more than two decades. John remained in the lumber industry and started his own thriving company, J&L Heat Treating, in 2014.

John was an active member of Oakdale’s civic community and worked tirelessly to help those in need, twice serving as the president of the Oakdale Lions Club.

John met the love of his life, Lorraine, in 1986 and the two wed in 1990. When not working or volunteering in the community, John enjoyed working in his walnut orchard, traveling, attending concerts and sporting events, spending time on the golf course, and hiking in national parks with his wife and children.

Services will be held at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Oakdale on July 17 at 10 a.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Oakdale Lions Club at PO Box 550, Oakdale, CA 95361.
