Gary Knox, 67, passed away on Tuesday, June 19 in Modesto.

He was born on June 16, 1945 in Oakdale.

Mr. Knox grew up in Escalon all his life. He graduated from Escalon High School in 1963, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was an avid carpenter and loved to build masterpieces in his garage. He loved to go camping with his family, and in his younger years, he enjoyed dirt bike riding.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Cindy Knox; his children, Sherry Sellars (Todd Murray), Brandy Langhout (Travis), and Heather Barrios (Jeremi); grandchildren Ashleigh, Breanna, Brittany, Jeremi, Andrew, Sydnee, and Ryan; brothers Charles Knox, Al Knox, and Russell Knox.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Melissa Knox, and his three sisters Bertha Mason, Ruth Rose, and Leola Best.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 29 at 3 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin St. in Escalon.
