Donald W. Clark, a Salinas resident, passed away on September 17, 2015. Don was born in Vinta, OK on January 17, 1933. He was raised in Modesto, CA. Don received degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from San Jose State University and California State University Sacramento, respectively. Following college he moved to Sonora, CA. He bravely married a woman with three adolescent children in 1971.
He taught Math at the Columbia Junior College before being employed as the Operations Manager and retired from the Hunt-Wesson Company. Don was also a Naval Veteran having served in Operation Hardtack I and II aboard the destroyer USS Mansfield DD-728 in 1958. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Zola Clark, and sister, Lola Weaver. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, children (and their spouses) Julie (Matt) Rohr, Sally (Scott) Colvin, and Andy (Kelli) Knornschild and grandchildren Alec Rohr, Geena Rohr, and McKenna Colvin, as well as his beloved dog, Maggie and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no services at the request of the deceased.
