The Leadership Class at Oakdale High School cooked 500 hot dogs as part of the Valley Oak League Kickoff Barbecue Tailgate event, celebrating the school’s first VOL football game. The Mustang JV and varsity football teams went on the road Friday, Sept. 14 and came home from East Union with victories. Meanwhile, leadership students Jack Kjeldgaard, Kelli-Lyn Roche and Tanner Cusano were dressed the part on Friday handing out hot dogs to hungry students. Oakdale comes home to play at The Corral this week, hosting their home VOL opener by welcoming in Weston Ranch on Sept. 21. JV kickoff is at 5 p.m. with the varsity game following at 7 p.m.
