Don’t miss out on the action on Saturday, July 24 as the Oakdale Saddle Club will be celebrating The Day of The Cowboy by hosting a Ranch Rodeo and Ranch Sorting at the Rodeo Grounds. Open to all participants, buckles and cash will be awarded. Spectators are free.

Also a reminder that the Rodeo is back for 2021, coming in August after being canceled altogether in 2020 and postponed earlier this year, moving from April to August.

“Tuesday, Aug. 10 kicks off Oakdale Rodeo Week with Local Team Roping at the Rodeo Grounds,” said Rachel Heiny, Oakdale Saddle Club Treasurer. “The Rodeo Queen Coronation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 12 at the Oakdale Cowboy Museum. Then it will be back to the Rodeo Grounds for Friday morning, Aug. 13 for Timed Event Slack followed by Barrel Racing Slack, then Friday evening the Rodeo Dance.”

Saturday morning, Aug. 14 will be the traditional Rodeo Parade along F Street, while back at the Rodeo Grounds the continuation of Times Event Slack. Then, attend the historic first ever evening PRCA Rodeo performance. On Sunday morning, Aug. 15 will feature Cowboy Church followed by the final PRCA Rodeo Performance.
