With fog settling in, the Oakdale Mustangs took control of the game early and did not allow their opponent – No. 9 Roseville – to get into the end zone on Friday night.

In a Sac-Joaquin Section Division III match up, it was the top seeded Mustangs shutting out visiting Roseville by a 40-0 final at The Corral.

The Nov. 12 win sets up a showdown with No. 5 Patterson on Friday, Nov. 19. Patterson traveled for their quarterfinal game, edging out No. 4 Yuba City in a high scoring 52-48 contest. Oakdale will host the Tigers.

Valley Oak League rival Manteca, meanwhile, traveled for their Nov. 12 game and upended Sacramento, 54-14. The No. 3 Buffaloes next face off at No. 2 Lincoln, which was a 28-21 winner over No. 7 Christian Brothers.
