The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office and Fire Department responded to the San Joaquin River near 8622 Dos Rios Monday afternoon, April 30 for a 17-year-old male in need of assistance. The teen was swimming with friends when he began having problems. A friend attempted to help him get to the river bed, but could not hold onto him.
