Spring Celebration At Grinding Rock

The Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians invites the community to join them for the Fifth Annual Chaw’se Day event on Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27 at the Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park.

Over the past four years, the Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians have led and completed the restoration efforts at the Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park, including the traditional Roundhouse. They now invite the public to join them in welcoming Spring with Native American games, cuisine, dancing, crafts, guided park tours, and much more.

The event is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days and admission is free.
