Friends of Oakdale Heritage will be recreating the fun and excitement of an old-fashioned speakeasy this Saturday night with their roaring ‘20s casino night, “Naughty Night Out.” Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Oakdale Museum and History Center.

The theme of the party is roaring ‘20s, and participants are encouraged to dress the part. There will also be costumes for sale at the party. Ramona Howard announced the event at a city council meeting, and invited the public to purchase tickets for the event. Howard said that anyone without a costume can dress in black and buy a costume at the party for around $20.

Tickets to the fundraiser include scrip for playing casino games, including poker. There will be prizes for the winners at the end of the night. Tickets also include two drink coupons and a photo ticket. Drinks will also be available for purchase at the event, along with food.

A live band will be entertaining attendees at the casino night fundraiser. A ballroom dance instructor will also be giving dance lessons.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun, and the proceeds will go to museum improvements,” Howard said.

The party starts at 7 p.m. and runs until midnight on Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale. Tickets cost $50 per person with two drink coupons, or $75 per person with unlimited drinks. Tickets are available at the door or by pre-order from Ramona Howard at 416-8256 or Gretchen at 847-9229.
