Several offerings focused on the Valentine’s Day theme were offered over the past couple of weeks at the Oakdale Library.
Among them, a craft day for youngsters to create colorful pictures and work with salt dough hearts to decorate for the holiday. Also, children could create a handmade card for sharing with senior citizens at local care homes for the holiday and the teen Book Club on Feb. 6 featured the making of a lollipop flower craft to take home and enjoy.
A Valentine ‘guessing jar’ contest was offered as well, with the guess closest to the amount of items in the jar winning a sweet prize.
Remember, the library offers Preschool Story Time every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., with stories and activities geared for preschoolers, ages 3-6 and caregivers. Wiggle Worms Story Time is now twice each Wednesday, 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.; enjoy stories, music, dancing, rhythm activities, and finger play at this special program for ages up to 3, and their caregivers.
