A special Oakdale City Council meeting is scheduled this week, set for Thursday, June 1 at 6 p.m.
The meeting will be hosted in the Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., in the large conference room.
The session will be called to order at 6 p.m. and following any additions or deletions to the agenda and any comment from the public, the council will host a fiscal year 2017/2018 Budget Workshop.
Typically, the city begins the budget process several weeks in advance of the July 1 start of the new fiscal year. Public comment will be limited to the topic(s) on the special meeting agenda, which for this session is only the proposed budget for the next fiscal year.
Oakdale City Council members include Mayor Pat Paul, Mayor Pro Tem Tom Dunlop and council members Cherilyn Bairos, J.R. McCarty and Richard Murdoch.
