In 2011, Center for Human Services (CHS) – Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center introduced Angel Trees to assist families in need during the holiday season. Last year, CHS – Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center hosted Angel Trees at nine different sites and were able to provide gifts for over 400 Angels (local children). This year, Angel Trees are at eight sites and plan to serve over 300 Angels. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting an Angel (local child) this holiday season, Angel Trees can be found at the following locations:

Learning Tree Preschool, House of Tykes, Steves Chevrolet, Koru Power Yoga Studio (Oakdale & Turlock), 507 Salon, The Oakdale Leader, St. Mary’s Church, Oakdale Family Church of the Nazarene.

CHS – Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center would like to acknowledge the volunteers who are helping to make this project possible. “Michelle Kendig, Laura Frazer and her son, Eli and Kym Cassaretto and her amazing kids Rilyn, Hayden and Tate are one big reason we know this year will be a huge success,” said Program Coordinator Tamberly Stone.

For more information call the CHS – Oakdale Family Resource Center at (209) 847-0420. Otherwise, community members can visit the Angel Tree locations to adopt an Angel and shop for them for Christmas. Shoppers will be given all the information they need including clothing sizes, a few suggestions for something fun, and drop off locations. All gifts must be turned in by Monday, Dec. 14.
