The owner of a Sacramento construction company performing work in Oakdale is offering a $5,000 reward for a piece of equipment that was stolen from one of its work trucks during the early morning hours of Friday, Oct. 17 at Motel 6.
“Anyone who would come across this device would not know what to do with it,” said Cameron Martin, a field supervisor for Twining, Incorporated of Sacramento. “This device is used for monitoring and checking compaction of materials such as asphalt and soils.”
Martin said the device is known as a Troxler 4640-B and is an electronic piece of equipment called a layer density gauge.
Oakdale Police were notified about the incident and provided a serial number and description of the item.
If anyone has discovered this device please contact Mike Stacks at (916) 225-1185.
