The Modesto Institute for Continued Learning, MICL, is hosting a special event for prospective learners on Wednesday, Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

All those over 50 interested in finding out more about the program are encouraged to attend the event, being hosted at Modesto Junior College West Campus, El Capitan Building, 2201 Blue Gum Ave., Modesto.

MICL offers academic classes and field trips for those over 50 and invites those eligible to hear about and register for the fall curriculum. Classes are held Monday through Friday in two-hour sessions. Fee to register is $50 plus a $10 donation requested to cover classroom expenses.

The Aug. 9 registration/info meeting includes a book sale and refreshments. The fall class catalogue is available at MICL-online.org

Classes will begin on Monday, Aug. 28.
