Blink and you might miss it.

That’s the road on westbound Highway 12 leading to Tower Park Marina and Resort in the unincorporated town of Terminous.

Surprisingly, this place is also part of the family-friendly Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp & Resort chain. Included are plenty of amenities such as bike rental, a dog run / park, outdoor movies and a swimming

This Yogi Bear-theme facility at the Tower Park is a network of campgrounds focused on providing great family vacations.

Besides the one at Lodi-Stockton Delta, Jellystone Parks can be found at Missoula-Glacier Park (Montana), Black Canyon-Ouray (Colorado), Larkspur-Pike National Forest (Colorado), Brandon-Sioux Falls (South Dakota), Mannford-Tulsa-Keystone Lake (Oklahoma), and Wichita Falls-North Dallas (Texas).

From Interstate 5, Terminous is about five-mile drive through farm land. The turn on Highway 12 to the marina comes just before the elevated bridge that crosses over Little Potato Slough, which is an inlet in San Joaquin County that also goes through Devils Isle and Bouldin Island.

This road goes past The Terminous Market at the corner of Highway 12 and Glasscock Road. The old building had the same owner for over 30 years in Charlie Jacobs.

He has grocery, beverages and other goods, but it’s jerky that he advertises – a sign on the side of The Terminous Market reads just that and can be seen off the main road.

The Terminous landmark, of course, is the signature KOA water tower at 14900 W. Highway 12 that serves as a haven to RV campers and those boating along the Delta.

Rosa’s at Tower Park Italian Restaurant serves up good food and live music. One of the attractions come this time of the year is Pro Jam, featuring performers such as guitarist Bob Kinney and many of the best musicians in the area. Information at Rosa’s entertainment scheduled can be obtained by calling 209.365.4693.

In addition, a boat launch coupled with a variety of rentals, from paddle boards to kayaks, help make Tower Park one of the premiere marinas on the Delta.
