Kids Summer Camp Hones Gardening Skills
Garden Joy

Get your kids outside and in the garden this summer at Garden Joy’s summer camp. The camp runs Monday, July 25, through Friday, July 29, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Garden Joy is based in Ripon, at 929 West Main.

Children from ages 5 to 12 can sign up for the camp. They will help with the harvest and care for the garden, learn how to turn fresh produce into delicious snacks and do literature and STEAM projects. Each session begins with a different P.E. class taught by a different local vendor. This is an experience they won’t want to miss. Camp fee includes water, daily snack and T-shirt.

Upon registration, you will be sent a liability waiver form that must be returned. There is a 10 percent discount when registering siblings. Use code SIBLING.

Visit gardenjoyca@gmail.com for additional information. Sign-ups are being taken at bit.ly/gjsummercamp. The camp will also focus on “Elements: Earth, Wind, Water, Fire” and each day’s lesson will highlight an element, such as making instruments to be powered by the wind and roasting s’mores over a fire, in addition to bubble wands and more.
