The Riverbank Heirloom Garden Club will be gathering for its second annual spring meeting on Friday, April 12 at 5 p.m.

The meeting will be at 2618 Sierra St., Riverbank. There are no dues, by-laws or elected positions.

The club was formed by several interested folks who wanted to pass on the heritage of Heirloom gardening. Heirloom gardening means that seeds saved from mature produce are true to their parent plant. They are not hybrids or genetically modified. The seeds are pure and will reproduce the same generation after generation.

Club members share information, seeds, and seedlings to help make the gardening experience a success. Visits to different member’s gardens can provide ideas to increase production, reduce loss due to pests, and share the abundance of crop. Anyone interested is welcome to join in with the group and receive free seed packets.
