Week nine saw two shutouts for Oakdale Stampede squads. In a highly anticipated matchup with Turlock, Oakdale’s varsity and junior varsity teams dominated in impressive home wins.

The varsity Stampede (8-1, 5-1) moved up to second place following a 35-0 home win over the Bulldogs (2-7, 2-4). With the win Oakdale has now outscored the opposition 379-124. Oakdale’s 379 points leads all Cencal varsity teams. Oakdale will finish the regular season at the NFC first place Modesto Broncos (7-2, 5-1) at Modesto Christian on Saturday. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Oakdale’s junior varsity team welcomed the Bulldogs (7-2, 4-2) to town in a highly anticipated game for second place in the AFC standings. Oakdale (8-1, 5-1) answered the challenge early and blanked the visitors 34-0. Oakdale is now in second place, behind the unbeaten Seahawks of Ceres. Oakdale has only given up 56 points this season and will travel to Modesto to take on the Broncos (4-5, 3-3) on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.

Another tough loss for the Peewee club as Oakdale (3-6, 1-5) suffered a 50-12 home loss to the Bulldogs (4-5, 3-3). Oakdale will finish the season on the road as they take on the unbeaten Modesto Broncos (9-0, 6-0) on Saturday. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
