Today, May 28, Oakdale High's varsity baseball team squares off against Valley Oak League rival, Sonora, for a one-game Sac-Joaquin Section finale in the division IV playoff bracket.

Oakdale topped Sonora twice in conference play to seal a league championship, and can finish 4-0 against the Wildcats on the season with a victory at Tony Zupo Field in Lodi at 7 p.m.

Sonora eased past Sierra Valley Conference champion, El Dorado, to see a finals appearence. Oakdale beat Vista del Lago 4-0 in the final game of a 'best two out of three' series to reach the finals.

Oakdale has won four section titles in the last four years and claimed SJS banners in 2010 and 2011.
