Nancy (Burch) Jackson passed away peacefully at her home on January 18, 2018 at the age of 66 years old. Nancy was born on February 18, 1951 in Modesto, California. She graduated from Patterson High School in 1969 and received her Nursing Degree from Modesto Junior College. Her career began with the Gould Medical Center, as a Surgical Nurse. For a time, she was Head Nurse for the Operating Room at Doctor’s Medical Center. Before full retirement, she was on-call at Stanislaus Surgery Center. She spent over 30 years Nursing.
After retiring, Nancy began golfing. Through her love of the sport she met many dear friends. She was a member of Del Rio and Pasatiempo Country Clubs. Nancy also stayed busy assisting her husband on the ranches as cowgirl and consultant. Her other hobbies included reading, cooking, being at the beach, and traveling with her husband, Bill of 37 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and volunteered at St. Anne’s School in Lodi. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her parents Joe and Bertha Burch; sisters Linda (Ron) Glantz, Judy (Dave) Holm, Joyce (Chuck) Higgins; husband, William R. Jackson of 37 years; daughters Nicole (Nick) Solari, Leslie (John) Varni; grandchildren Natalie Solari, Giovanni Solari, Angelo Solari, Jackson Varni, and Mia Varni, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Del Rio Country Club, 801 Stewart Road, Modesto, CA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
