Claude Ralph Ozbirn, 94, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 due to complications from a fall.

Mr. Ozbirn was born on April 8, 1920 in Vernon, Texas. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and a longtime resident of Oakdale.

Following the passing of his wife Irene of 59 years in 2003, he moved to Gig Harbor, Washington in order to be closer to his son.

He is survived by his son, Roger Ozbirn (Cheryl) and two grandchildren, Jacob and Meghan Ozbirn.
