Carol Marie Wootten peacefully passed away February 21, 2020 at the age of 62 with her loving family by her side. Carol was born February 28, 1957 in Salinas, California to Kenneth and Lucille Miller, and the youngest of three children. As a young adult, Carol met a young man named Edward Wootten through mutual friends and they hit it off right away, it was love at first sight. On July 3, 1978, Carol married Edward and began their wonderful life together.
Carol’s favorite hobby was sewing and quilting. She mostly loved making baby blankets to give to the expecting mommies at her church, Life Community Church in Oakdale. Carol was such a caring and compassionate person, anyone she spoke with felt as if they made a new best friend. She was patient, kind and always had a listening ear. She enjoyed helping in the Sunday school and pre-school classrooms, she loved working with little kids and was sad when they were old enough to move on to kindergarten. Carol was a one-of-a-kind person, who had such a kind, loving soul and will be greatly missed.
Carol is survived by her son; Jeremy and brother; Kenneth. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years; Edward and sister; Joan Keck.
Arrangements for Carol have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 12 p.m. at Life Community Church, 105 E. G St., Oakdale, CA 95361. Interment will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 McCabe Road, Santa Nella, CA 95322. To send the family condolences, please visit Carol’s tribute page at www.deeganfuneralchapels.com.
