This week we are thrilled to write about a delightful young lady, TJ Verdegaal. TJ was a contestant in the annual Distinguished Young Woman of Oakdale program, which was held Saturday, Feb. 13 at Magnolia School. TJ is active in many community events, and is involved in school activities such as cheerleading, track and leadership. She has earned her Academic Block O as well as her Athletic Block O. TJ was also chosen as 2016 Winter Homecoming Queen. TJ is looking forward to attending San Diego State after graduation from Oakdale High. She is the daughter of proud parents, Sarah and Mike Verdegaal and the adored sister of brother Jack. Our Valley Home community sends its very best wishes to you TJ. We are so proud of you!

We would like to offer our deepest sympathy to the Amerine family. The passing of Mrs. Connie Amerine at age 92 will leave a huge void for the Amerine family. Mrs. Amerine is survived by husband Reagan Amerine, daughter Jennifer Hibbard, sons Ronald Amerine and Gary Amerine as well as several loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
