For all interested folks there will be a water meeting tomorrow, Thursday, October 8th in the Valley Home School gym. This meeting will update our community on our water situation. County supervisor Bill O’Brien and Walter Ward will present. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m.; everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!

Valley Home School students have been busy during the past week ... 6th graders off to Outdoor Ed Camp, the student body attending a wonderful play at Oakdale High School! Fun, fun, fun!

Important upcoming events...

Our pie sale fundraiser welcomes in fall and runs from October 15th through October 29th. These delicious pies come in several different real fruit fillings and are easy to serve and easy to freeze. Perfect for the upcoming holidays! Also coming up on October 23rd will be an awesome BMX show at school. Red Ribbon week runs from October 23rd to October 29th with fun activities! Go Hawks ... Drug Free!

This Friday October 9th Valley Home volleyball and football players will travel to Shiloh school to compete. It is always exciting to watch our youngsters play. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come out and support our Valley Home Hawks! Remember “B” team 5th and 6th graders’ games begin at 11:30 a.m., with “A” team 7th and 8th graders beginning immediately after, approximately 12:35p.m. Goooo Hawks!

This week we send out our most heartfelt feel better soon wishes to good friend Linda Morris, knowing that even a knee operation can’t keep you down for long, we are sure to see you up and going soon. Feel better soon, Linda!

Benny has sold his beautiful restaurant “The Rivers Edge” and will stay busy with a full slate of projects. Benny will continue running the Rivers Edge through the Knights Ferry Pumpkin Roll.
