Good news at our MAC meeting last week ... CHP Officer Richard Kennell and Sheriff Deputy Parker both reported new officers in training and will soon be in action! Sheriff Detective Adam Basmajan, who investigates rural crimes, reported he and rural crime detective Ryan Jenkins are in the area often in unmarked cars. Our Valley Home school superintendent had asked about response times All in attendance were glad to hear officers often in the area! CHP Officer Kennell also reported that CHP could send out the radar trailer to detect speeding drivers. This is done with help from senior volunteers. The CHP has a great program for teen drivers called Smart Start. You may contact the CHP watch officer at 209-545-7440 to sign your young person up or for more information!

A beautiful day at our little Valley Home park last Sunday. The Easter Bunny was seen hopping throughout the park, soon there were brightly colored eggs everywhere! By 9 a.m. there was an enthusiastic group of youngsters waiting to hunt for the well-hidden Easter eggs! Special thanks to Callie Chrisman and her family for organizing this fun day! Callie was the 4-H chairman and worked hard to organize this Easter Egg hunt for all Valley Home youngsters. A huge thank you goes out to all of you who donated eggs for the Easter Egg hunt. Your thoughtfulness was very much appreciated! Thank you Bonnie for making sure the Easter Bunny found his way to the park. It was a great day for all!
