Today is a very special day in Valley Home! Our Valley Home School Kindergarten and our eighth graders will graduate this evening, Wednesday, May 24. It hardly seems possible that graduation is here already, yet the excitement on the faces of our graduates reveals young people who are ready for the future! For our kindergartners it means stepping into the first grade world, a whole new learning adventure. Since the beginning of their first day in kindergarten to this evening at graduation they have gained so much knowledge, had many great adventures and truly are ready to be a proud Valley Home first grader. Congratulations to our Valley Home kindergarten Class of 2017! Our Valley Home eighth graders are excited and looking forward to becoming high school freshmen! Some have shared that they are leaving Valley Home with a mix of emotions. The closeness of being part of a small country school, to the excitement of heading for Oakdale High! Many of this year’s eighth graders have made the journey from kindergarten to eighth grade together. Our Valley Home Elementary School is well known for its tremendous education, it is nice to know that our students will be attending such a terrific high school. Last year we had the great pleasure of former Valley Home alumni Terri Taylor attending eighth grade graduation. Terri, the Class of 2017 would be honored by your presence this evening! A very special thank you to all the teachers, staff, parents, friends and members of the community for your wonderful support over the years for our students. You are greatly appreciated. Congratulations to all our 2017 Eighth Grade Class members, may all your dreams come true!

This Saturday, May 27, our Valley Home 4-H will offer a delicious drive through tri-tip dinner from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The dinner will be held at Valley Home School. For more information call Valley Home 4-H community leader Sean Haynes at 209-324-7286.
