With Christmas just around the corner, we wanted to give you an early update on our “Old Fashioned Christmas” in Valley Home! Please mark your calendar for Saturday, December 17th! The evening will start off with a lighted community Christmas parade ... Bring your entry and join in the fun. Entries must be safe and in good taste! Parade will start at 6:00 p.m. Line up by park and/or school gym. Best viewing will be at the old school on Texas Avenue. Immediately after parade, our lighted tree ceremony will begin in our little park. These events are both sponsored by our community and our beautiful little park. After tree lighting ceremony, Valley Home 4-H invites everyone to cross the street to the school gym, for a delicious potluck dinner! You are invited to bring your favorite dish to share, but it is not necessary, all are welcome to come and eat. There will be plenty for all! Our 4-H will be providing three baked hams and three tasty turkeys for all to enjoy. Our 4-H will also provide plates, cups, napkins, and silverware. Christmas punch, toasty hot chocolate, and steaming hot coffee will warm you up from the cold! Santa will greet the young and old with a “Ho, Ho, Ho!” and welcome all inside the jolly Christmas decorated gym. More details to come!

Our Valley Home students are looking forward to their annual Christmas store. A very special thank you to Shelly Carpenter and her crew of hard working elves for making the Christmas store happen each year! More info to come!
